We've put together a package for those of you that are either new to a Negroni, or would like to try a different take on

this classic Italian cocktail.

Each package contains:

Wolftown Gin 20cl; Hotel Starlino 10cl Vermouth and a choice of either Hotel Starlino 10cl Rose or Orange Aperitivo and a bag of dehydrated fruit. Three bottles in total, delivered in a rope-handled Kraft bag. Select the gift package to include the hamper tray.

The Negroni was created in Turin when

Count Camillo Negroni walked into

Caffe Casoni in Florence, Italy in 1919 and asked the bartender Forsco Scarselli, to strengthen his favourite cocktail – the Americano – by replacing the soda water with gin.

If you've never had one - it's a boozy, bitter but sweet cocktail, with bitter orange flavours.

A negroni is traditionally made using equal measures of gin, vermouth and Italian bitters, such as Campari, though we certainly recommend experimentation with different ingredients. So with this package, you get to choose a lighter and fruitier version of the original cocktail.

We've paired our award winning gin with Aperitivos by Hotel Starlino. Each of the two variants comes with a 10cl bottle of beautiful Vermouth and a choice of either Hotel Starlino's Rose Aperitivo for a lighter Negroni, or Arancione Aperitivo to deliver a beautiful, sweet, orange led Negroni.

Our preferred recipe and recommended way of making a Negroni is to stir all of the ingredients for 30 seconds with ice, strain into an ice-filled glass and garnish with a twist of orange zest.

Enjoy!

40ml Wolftown Gin

30ml Vermouth

30ml Aperitivo

A dash of Orange Bitters (available separately)

*Why not add Orange Bitters and Dehydrated Orange slices?
