A modern aperitif, made with Lakeland damsons, delivering rich, fruit sweetness and a satisfying botanical finish and a winner of a Bronze Award at the 2026 Great British Food Awards.
Made entirely in Ulverston, Cumbria on the edge of The Lake District, using local fruit from South Lakeland and Lyth Valley Damsons and a range of fruit peels and botanicals.
Damaro can be enjoyed on its own over ice or served long with a mixer, though it is best enjoyed when served as The Lakeland Spritz.
Add 50 ml to an ice filled wine glass, add 75 ml of Prosecco, top with 25 ml of soda water. Stir once gently, garnish with a slice of orange and enjoy - preferably with a view of The Lake District and always with friends.
